A STUDENT FROM THE EXPERIMENTAL HIGH SCHOOL OF MYTILENE TRAVELS TO THE International Geopark Camp

This summer, Geopark Muskauer Faltenbogen organized the 3rd International Geopark Camp which took place in Weißwasser, Germany.  The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest was represented by a group of local students, 15 to 16 years old, interested in geology. The Experimental High School of Mytilene of the University of the Aegean sent one of its students in the Summer Camp who was accompanied with 6 students from other schools of Mytilene. The Camp took place from 4-11 of August and the main subject was “Energy meets Geology”. There were 7 countries participating and every day each student group had to present their country and Geopark. The goal was to make students exchange ideas and cultures by communicating with one another and making friendships. The Camp was completed with great success and all students had an unforgettable week.
